There are these destinations where you have to be as a kitesurfer once in your life. Mauritius is definitely one of them. The unique atmosphere, when tropical island feeling meets turquoise blue water, lots of wind and real surfer vibes, ensure a place close to the top of your bucket list.
We stay on a French country estate, right on the tropical sandy beach. Like notorious surfers, we load our surfing equipment onto pick-up trucks every day and drive straight to the beach at Le Morne or explore the island with its jungles, mountains and waterfalls.
This kite camp is also the perfect destination for couples or travel groups that include non-kiters. Mauritius offers incredible kitesurfing spots, but there is also so much more to discover: trips into the jungle, mountain hikes, dolphin tours...
We have a packed excursion program where we would never get bored even without kitesurfing.

Supervision offers you the space to make progress independently.
As part of LakeUnited Supervision, we ensure the perfect space and safety at the spot. This enables real progress and the further development of your kite skills. We select the right spot on site, assist you in choosing the right equipment, and give you personalized tips for your individual progress. Depending on the wind and weather, we hold workshops on various topics. Supervision is not coaching or traditional kite lessons.
We create the framework so you can get the most out of your experience. We share all our knowledge and tricks with you and answer all your questions to help you become a better kiter.

Luxury property with direct beach access
Accommodation & catering
15 minutes from the kite spot in Le Morne, we stay on a French family's property in the palm hills with direct access to the sea - and a beach like something out of a honeymoon brochure. The property consists of a large green complex with a main house including a kitchen and several smaller houses in different categories - the higher (superior) category also has a pool.
There is a supermarket and smaller restaurants in the nearest village. Depending on your preference, you can have breakfast either in the apartment or in a café on the way to the spot. If you want to fortify yourself between your sessions, you will find food trucks with excellent snacks or coconuts right at the spot. In the evening we usually go to one of the restaurants in the area or, if you feel like it, you can cook right in the apartment.
Reliable wind, flat water and waves
Kitespot at Le Morne Beach
At our kite spot we have a tropical palm beach and a huge, beautiful lagoon with turquoise shallow water and lots of space to practice.
Further out there are various large reefs that offer different kinds of waves, from beginner friendly ones to the fastest waves in the world “One-Eye”. From May to October the wind blows very consistently from the east and southeast; kites of 7 to 11 m² are mainly used at this time of year.
In order to take part in the kite camp in Mauritius, you must be able to safely stay upwind (corresponds to VDWS level 5). The area is also good for kiting in the waves. If you like, you can practice or learn how to ride a directional or waveboard here.

You can choose, for example, a trip to the Brabant to watch the sunrise with a view over the entire lagoon, or a trip into the hinterland through the wild botany in the jungle for a rum tasting and tropical coconut palm beaches. We also always talk enthusiastically about snorkeling with the dolphins. Of course there are also classics such as SUP excursions, surfing, yoga, market visits,…

Kite equipment
Yes, kitesurfing is strength training! So that you don't just build up your muscles while towing your kite and otherwise sit around waiting for better wind, we offer you our equipment for rent.
Whether on land or on the water, strong or weak wind - we always have the right equipment for you! So you travel much more carefree, use a twint tip or a wave board and new kites from top brands like Flysurfer, Core, Ozone or Duotone and have more time on the water overall.
Good to know: Our equipment rental includes kites and boards. If you don't have your own harness or want to rent one, let us know. If you don't have your own wetsuit yet, we will be happy to advise you with buying one or support you with renting on site.
Accommodation
We live on a private estate in the palm hills with direct beach access.
Several small apartment buildings offer rooms in two different categories: Premium and Superior.
Catering
Everyone can customize the meal according to their preferences, which is why catering in the kite camp is not included.
You can have breakfast directly in the apartment or on the way to the spot in a café, where there are also very rich buffets.
At lunchtime, if you're hungry, there are food trucks and vendors on the beach offering snacks and fruit for sale.
In the evening we go out to eat or cook in the apartment complex.
Travel, transfer and transport
We recommend flying to Mauritius via Mahébourg International Airport, about 60 kilometers from Le Morne.
We will pick you up directly from the airport and take you to your accommodation.
