An idea that doesn't need many words
Florian is our chief deaf instructor and the man behind the kite courses and kite surfing holidays for the deaf at LakeUnited. He is deaf himself, is intensely committed to equality and is responsible for peer group advice and the media library at Witaf. As a passionate water sports enthusiast, kite trainer and globetrotter, Florian is doing pioneering work with LakeUnited in the field of kiting for the deaf, not only in Austria.
Step by step we have expanded our offer especially for the deaf over the past few years. In addition to landkiting courses in the greater Vienna area and on Lake Neusiedl, we organize deaf kitecamps for beginners and advanced kiters in Austria, Denmark, Sicily and Egypt.

Landkiting is the perfect start and a fantastic sports of it`s own. We recommend landkiting for the first steps, to get used to the power of the kite and for the perfect kite control. And: it`s a lot of fun, kiting with a mountainboard or a buggy. Give it a try!Â
Special concepts, exceptional experiences
Kitecamps for the deaf are kite trips to our favorite spots for about a week. Kite courses take place in Austria and can be flexibly booked on a daily basis throughout the year.
Florian leads the courses and accompanies every kite trip with an additional team of trainers, including hearing kite instructors and, if necessary, sign language interpreters. It doesn't matter whether you are a kite beginner or an advanced kite surfer, our courses and camps are suitable for all skill levels.
