Kitesurf holidays in Hamata, Egypt

Perfect conditions

A huge standing area, turquoise water, and a very high wind yield are the optimal conditions for our kite camp in Egypt. For a week, everything will revolve around kiteboarding: learning to kitesurf, improving skills, and spending as much time on the water as possible. We like to refer to the conditions in Hamata as „laboratory conditions.“ The lagoon directly in front of the kite beach offers the finest sand bottom with a huge standing area. Constant sideshore wind combined with reliable thermals make Hamata very wind-secure.

Egypt offers the possibility to postpone the beginning of winter a little longer with a kite holiday in November, especially in spring and autumn. Pleasant temperatures allow you to stay by the water as long as your energy lasts—or until sunset. Generally, we don't strictly count training hours in our kite camps; instead, we focus on your individual progress.

Whether you are kiting for the first time here or improving your jumps - our kite camp in the KiteVillage in Hamata is perfect for this.

Our customers about the LakeUnited Kite Camp in Hamata

Powder and constant wind

Spot & Wind in Hamata

Laboratory conditions in the KiteVillage - Hamata. It's almost too easy. There is nothing like it. This huge lagoon with a sandy bottom is ideal for our camps. You won't find any places where you can't stand in the water. We'd be lying if we said, "It's hard to teach there."

The huge standing area and a constant sideshore wind make the job almost too easy for us. We can concentrate entirely on you and your goals and then celebrate your success together.

Even when the weather forecast was not the best, Hamata surprised us again and again - the thermal, especially in Egypt, is just something nice.

From bed to board

Accommodation at Kite Village

The bungalows at Kite-Village Hotel offer spacious rooms with a generous bathroom and a nice terrace, which are inviting for discussing the day's events. You'll find everything you need. Free from the saying: “Everything you need is here. What isn't here, you don't need!”

About a seven-minute walk away are the Tiny Houses of the Kite Village Camp as a more affordable alternative to the bungalows.

Half board is included in the package. All guests eat together in the Kite Village – the kitesurfers from Hamata come together at one table for breakfast and dinner. We love it, it's part of the experience.

fun even for non-kiters

Activities in Hamata

We offer plenty of additional activities for non-kiters and kite-lazy people. Or simply as an alternative if the sore muscles are too intense or if there is a lull after all. However, we are pretty good with the Egyptian wind godess.

In Egypt, with you

These team members have also put Hamata on the calendar.

Good to know: Because we want to be there for you 100 percent and with full energy, we regularly change the people in our team. This means you will probably never meet all of us at the same time.

Detailed information on the Kitecamp in Hamata

We have been traveling to Hamata ourselves and with groups for years and are very familiar with both traveling to and in the country and kiting at the spot.

We have briefly summarized all the useful information for you.

In the lagoon with sandy bottom, standing area and constant sideshore wind you can take your first steps or your first experiences on the kite or improve your level.

As soon as the air starts to move, we start towards the water, because practice is a very important factor to us. As long as you have energy and are not afraid of a sunstroke, you can stay on the water and work on your kite skills.

Of course, there are also various workshops with LakeUnited within a week that give you a comprehensive insight into the world of kitesurfing.

We cannot list the number of hours here, because you get full support from us this week. We design our program according to the circumstances. Since our goal is your maximum progress, you can look forward to a brilliant time with many successes.

LakeUnited's events are always educational. Because our goal is that you can take as much as possible with you.

We place great value on practice and can now look back on more than 15 years of training experience in kitesurfing. Nevertheless, we are constantly evolving by continuously revising our concepts.

After all, there is not just one way, because everyone learns differently and needs different inputs. In addition, one or the other may already have made mistakes that need to be specifically corrected

We use different approaches to improve your skills on the water and on the kite. We will hold several workshops and also offer video analyzes - if everything goes well, even with a projector in the evening. This has already proven itself many times! Because we love detailed work, we can draw your attention to little things that others don't even see. Often, just a few small changes lead to the desired success and you enjoy more fun and safety on the water.

In our high-quality kite lessons, we clearly see our strength in empathy and in working on a personal level. With empathy and a lot of fun, we will pick you up right where you are. This applies to beginners as well as professionals, after all, we have already trained some kite instructors in our academy.

Yes, so that you can try things out and don't have to sit around waiting for better wind, we offer our equipment in a package. Our equipment rental includes kites and boards.

Whether you're kiting on land or on the water, in strong or light winds – we have the right equipment for you! This means you can travel much more carefree, use twin-tip or waveboards as you please, and enjoy new kites from top brands like Flysurfer, Core, Ozone, Harlem, or Duotone, and spend more time on the water overall.

Good to know: Harness and neoprene equipment

If you don't have your own harness or want to try one out, let us know, and we'll pack the right one for you to rent. By the way, the rental fee will be credited towards the purchase price if you keep the harness after the camp.

If you don't have your own wetsuit or other neoprene equipment, we're happy to advise you or help you rent one on-site.

Directly opposite the kite school is the Kite Village Hotel with its bungalows. Here, you'll have a spacious room and a generous bathroom. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, even a TV.

The rooms are comfortable and very spacious. The bathroom, in particular, offers endless space. In front of the room there is a nice terrace, inviting for a debriefing or two.

Additionally, Tiny Houses can also be booked at Kite Village Camp. They are a bit cheaper and are located about a seven-minute walk from the restaurant and kite station.

Rooms can be booked as double rooms (DBL) or single rooms (SGL). We are also happy to connect single travelers within the group, so that as a single person you are not forced to book a single room. Double rooms are offered with separate beds.

We eat breakfast and dinner together in the KiteVillage Camp. The chef 'George' cooks, who definitely knows his craft.

After an extensive kite session, you need enough energy for the next day, which you can easily get from the delicious buffet.

There are also plenty of vegan or vegetarian dishes. You can always find something - even the salad is excellent and the soups are a dream.

The great thing about eating at the Kitevillage Camp is that all the kiters come together, eat and relax together and have a beer or two.

The mood is extremely pleasant. And if you can play chess, the head chef will be happy if you challenge him.

Dependent on your destination of departure you will travel by plane to Marsa Alam or Hurghada in Egypt with an estimated travel time of about 4 (Hurghada) to 4.5 hours (Marsa Alam) from Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

After you have perhaps made a detour to the duty-free area, the transfer we have organized from the airport to Hamata to the KiteVillage is waiting for you.

The journey takes about 2 ½ hours from Marsa Alam Airport and about 4 ½ hours from Hurghada Airport. However, it is definitely worth the journey. This lagoon – a dream. Your kitesurfing progress – secured.

Visa: You need a visa for Egypt. You can order one online in advance or simply purchase one upon arrival at the airport.

Catering while getting there: You should pack some food. Food is now rare on the planes and mostly not sufficient.

Money exchange: You don't need to change money into Egyption Pounds. In the KiteVillage you can pay everything in Euro. If you pay with credit card in the KiteVillage, e.g. at the beach bar or the kite station, an additional 3% will be added.

Passport: Of course you need a valid passport. It must be valid for at least 6 months upon departure.

Internet: You can buy a SIM card for local internet at the airport (Vodafone). There is also a shop at the kite station. A little more expensive, but there you get what you ordered.

Travel insurance: We are not insurance agents, but we are committed to offering you comprehensive travel insurance. And honestly, cancellation and travel insurance makes sense. You can choose an insurance package as part of your booking.

Equipment insurance: With the insurance tool of the Association of German Water Sports Schools (VDWS) you are insured against damage to your own equipment or to the rental equipment. This has often saved us stress, which is why we definitely recommend the VDWS Safety Tool! You can find more information about this http://safetytool.de/VY99056
