Shorten the winter, just get out there - high up! Just when the best kite surfers in the world compete on the water at the Red Bull King of the Air, we set up the tents for our kite camp in Cape Town.
The spots around Cape Town are every kite surfer's dream - it's not without reason that the kite professionals train and test on the beaches of South Africa. Added to this is the vibrant life of a city characterized by a wide variety of influences and the breathtaking landscape that make Cape Town a dream destination for a kitesurfing holiday.
We fell in love with “Mother City” on our first visit. Now we have finally discovered suitable accommodation, right on the kite beach, with a view of Table Mountain.

This camp is aimed at advanced kiters: riders who can go upwind safely.
Our highly trained coaches are always on site.
As part of the LakeUnited Supervision they ensure your safety at the spot, look out to provide the perfect basic conditions - and enable you to make real progress on the water.
Kite equipment
I you prefer to, you don't need to disassemble your board, don't need to carry a board bag and when you arrive, everything is ready for you.
We have the latest equipment with us: wave boards, twin tips and kites from 5 to 15 m² (you never know).

Accommodation
Our apartments with a view of Table Mountain are located directly on the kite beach. You can walk to the hotel complex at any time between sessions.
Theoretically we could cook there, but we shouldn't miss out on the fantastic food from the restaurants in Cape Town.

We ensure your safety and your skill boost
Our highly trained LakeUnited coaches are always on site at each of our camps. LakeUnited coaches are passionate about your progress. It's not just years of experience that make up their skills. Their trained eye, attention to detail and precise instructions enable you to get better at kitesurfing easily and in a short time.
As part of LakeUnited Supervision we ensure the perfect conditions and safety at the spot. In addition, we enable real progress on the water and the further development of your kite skills. We select the right spot on site, support you in choosing the right equipment and give you personal tips for your individual progress - so that you can get the most out of it.
Depending on the wind and weather, we hold workshops on different topics. We share all our knowledge and tricks with you and answer all your questions to make you a better kiter.

Accommodation & catering
We stay in apartments at the Dolphin Beach Hotel. The hotel complex is located directly on the white sandy beach in Blouberg with a view of Table Mountain and a guarantee of fantastic sunsets. You can walk already in your wetsuit to the kite beach to set up your kite.
The hotel offers a restaurant with sea views, an outdoor pool and even a beauty salon. Our apartments are equipped with a kitchen, but we won't be cooking much because there is such fantastic food out there.
Spot and Advanced Coaching
A kilometer-long sandy beach awaits us in Blouberg, which is the mecca of surfing during the winter months. “Cape Doctor” is the name given to the warm, consistent wind of around 20-45 knots from the southeast that ensures the perfect kitesurfing conditions in Cape Town. He is also responsible for the small to very large waves, which are ideal for fine-tuning your jumping technique and, above all, your jumping height. We also have the opportunity to explore other spots, such as Misty-Cliffs or Langebaan.
In order to take part in the kitecamp in South Africa, you must be able to safely fly at altitude (corresponds to VDWS level 5). Our advanced coaching is mainly about jumping technique and new altitude records. You will receive workshops, tips and tricks for your maximum learning success.
Discover and enjoy Cape Town
We fell in love with the Mother City on our first stay, and not just because of the wind. Cape Town is a melting pot of different cultures, traditions, lifestyles and cuisines (keyword: OMG cuisine).
The city is similarly diverse in terms of activities with its bays and beaches, surrounding wineries and mountains such as Table Mountain, Lion's Head or Devil's Peak. There is so much to discover: adventurous excursions, fantastic beaches, incredibly good food, wine tastings and much more. Depending on where we want to go, we rent cars or take Uber to travel the city.

Travel, transfer and transport
You travel to Cape Town yourself to the accommodation.
The best thing to do is book a flight to Cape Town and then get an Uber to transfer you from the airport to your accommodation.
If necessary, we rent a car on a daily basis for local excursions and will also often use Uber.
Catering
Everyone can customize the meal according to their preferences, which is why catering in the kite camp is not included.
Cape Town has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Therefore, we decide together on site which of the excellent restaurants we will go to.
Also good to know: Cape Town is really cheap when it comes to food.
Accommodation
Kite equipment
We recommend kites of 5-10 m², maximum 12 m². When the Cape Doctor blows, 75-80 kg riders sometimes need a 7.
So that you don't just build up your muscles while towing your kite and otherwise sit around waiting for better wind, we also offer you our equipment for rent.
Whether on land or on the water, strong or weak wind - we always have the right equipment for you! So you travel much more carefree, use a twint tip or a wave board and new kites from top brands like Flysurfer, Core, Ozone or Duotone and have more time on the water overall.
