We'll tell you everything you need to know – in concise units and on the go. Additionally, we'll take time to watch selected learning videos together, so you can better understand techniques and movements and progress faster.

Basics of Kite Control

Practical unit on land

In peace, you will learn the basics of kite control and what to pay attention to when steering the kite. We will show you what will be important for your first water start attempts, so you can concentrate well on the board on the water.

2. & 3. Practical Unit

In private sessions, you and your coach will work together to master the water start, the first few meters on the board, and perhaps even a turn or two for directional changes. Radio training and video analysis ensure maximum learning success.

2-Day Intensive Kite Course

Our practice sessions are accompanied by BB-Talking radio systems – when sensible and supportive of your learning success. This way, we can give you valuable tips at the very moment you need them to specifically improve your technique.

Additionally, we'll collect video footage during your kite session, particularly from your first water starts and the initial meters of riding. We'll then analyze this footage together with you so you can develop a better feel for movement patterns.

In a compact theory unit, we will also consolidate your knowledge of materials, techniques, safety, and wind and weather. Of course, we'll always take time for your questions – so you feel safe on the water and are optimally prepared for your next sessions.

Spots & wind at Lake Neusiedl

With its versatile winds and shallow areas, Lake Neusiedl offers unique conditions for kitesurfers. From April to October, you can usually find pleasant temperatures and steady winds here.

Depending on the wind direction, we can choose the perfect spot for your private unit. In principle, the entire lake is available to us for your unit. The meeting point and departure, however, is definitely Neusiedl am See; from there, we will take a boat out onto the lake.

How does a beginner kitesurfing course on Lake Neusiedl work?

Our intensive beginner course at Lake Neusiedl is structured to help you make maximum progress in a short time. The course can be started daily and spans two days. There you can expect three practical units (one of which is held on land) as well as a supplementary theory unit.

The class takes place 1:1 format so that we can cater to your individual learning level and you can make rapid progress. During the practical sessions, you will learn, among other things, how to handle the kite safely, your first attempts at riding the board, as well as important safety and weather basics.

For optimal learning success, we work with modern BB Headsets and Radio Training, so that you get direct feedback while walking by the water. That Kitesurfing equipment is included in the course. (excluding wetsuit). Additionally, you will be supported by Video analysis while quickly improving your technique and better understanding movement patterns.

What equipment do I need for my kite course?

We will provide you with a harness, the suitable kite, and potentially a board from our LakeUnited material pool.

You also need a wetsuit. If you do not own a wetsuit, a rental suit can be borrowed on-site for a fee from the Segelschule Neusiedl. The cost is €5 per hour or €25 for the whole day!

Sunglasses and sunscreen should of course not be forgotten on a beautiful day.
